K Kiaalap v4.0.0

Calendar and maps

Use the on-demand FullCalendar integration and locally bundled Leaflet.

FullCalendar

The events page uses FullCalendar 7.1.2. It starts with a list view and fetches the calendar when the visitor selects Calendar View. The loader includes the day-grid, list and interaction plugins plus the calendar styles.

const { Calendar, plugins } = await Kiaalap.load('fullcalendar');
const calendar = new Calendar(host, {
  plugins,
  initialView: 'dayGridMonth',
  events: [{ title: 'Open day', start: '2026-10-20' }]
});
calendar.render();

The supplied events are examples. Connect your backend for scheduling, edits and attendee registration. If loading fails, the events page displays a retry message. Call calendar.destroy() when removing a calendar instance.

Leaflet

Both google-map.html and data-maps.html use Leaflet 1.9.4, despite the historical page names. JavaScript and CSS are bundled locally:

import 'leaflet/dist/leaflet.css';
import L from 'leaflet';

The demos use OpenStreetMap and ArcGIS tile URLs. Tiles need network access; follow the provider’s usage terms and preserve attribution. Choose an appropriate provider for production traffic. Removing CDN script dependencies does not make remote map tiles available offline.

Validation

The browser regression suite stubs external image/tile requests to keep local-script tests deterministic. Verify real tile loading, attribution, coordinates and provider permissions on your deployed site. Deployment describes the static build and security header considerations.
